Optimum Surveillance is an end-to-end solution
Optimum Surveillance is a modular production monitoring solution consisting of physical instruments and metering components and the Optimum Online visualization software. Real-time production measurements are analyzed and visualization screens are composed and displayed in the user interface. Production performance per well and of entire fields assist the field operator with optimized decision making and improved resource allocation and intervention routines. The visualization screens of Optimum Surveillance can be accessed from the operating company’s data network, both on –site and in a remote operation centre.
A modular solution to meet future demands
Due to volatile oil prices and scarce natural resources, production optimization and increased recovery rates are getting more important for petroleum operators. Optimum Well Surveillance is an end-to-end solution including physical instrumentation on-site and remote visualization of real-time production profiles. Modularity and flexibility are important aspects, both to match each unique installation and existing infrastructure, and to ensure scalability for further development. Effort is put into making the solution compatible with existing infrastructure, instrumentation and metering to reduce the initial installation cost for the operators. Optimum Surveillance enables:

Technology
The physical components of Optimum Surveillance include Abbon’s multiphase flow meters, differential pressure instruments and other sensors measuring the production performance in real-time. Optimum Online is modified to process the input data and compose precise visualization screens, per well and of the entire field.
Development
Through the acquisition of Optimum Production AS by Abbon AS in 2008, physical metering and analytic software was combined in Optimum Surveillance. Abbon’s extensive experience from hardware instrumentation and multiphase metering combined with Optimum Production’s vast industry competence and software solutions established the foundation for the development of a complete end-to-end petroleum production monitoring solution. The solution has been tested at a number of locations and in various environments in collaboration with major industry actors. Optimum Surveillance is installed and in operation at ConocoPhillips Norway’s Ekofisk field.
